Old Paris

The street here is located in the oldest area of Paris called Le Marais.

There are still some houses dated from the XIVth century.

That's old, Florence, but for some reason this doesn't feel that old to me. Hmmm. Can't put my finger on it. Maybe the street is wider than I'd expect? But I DO like how it's "tiered."
Florence: Yes Ginnie it's wider because of the wide angle... but the area, it's sure, is old. I've lived in this area for almost 20 years. I know the place well.
Looks old all right. The wide angle perspective works very well here.
Florence: Thanks Martin.
Très sympa cette vision "grand angle. Bien joué Dame Florence !
Florence: Merci Sire Roland ! smile

I am with Martin on this one Florence, I love the wide angle perspective and the fairly low angle that you shot at, it all turns the image into something very pleasing and out of the ordinary. Kindest regards, Neil.
Florence: Thanks a lot Neil. As usual, I really appreciate your comments. smile
Nice one. Might look even better in B&W or monochrome to give that nostalgic look
Florence: Thanks Anup, next time, I'll try ! smile
nice overview
Florence: Thanks Chantal.

This is a beautifully atmospheric shot. The bike in the foreground really sets it off.
Florence: Thanks David. The bike was waiting me, you see !! smile

Fine capture of a nice place!
Florence: Merci Still !
Very serene. I dont think I will be able to see any of this view over here. Thanks for all the lovely and encouraging comments that you left on my blog.
Florence: You're welcomed !

Wow, and you live here? How lucky you are. smile

This picture makes me want to go and look, to see more and to experience the old buildings for myself, to look at how they were built and so on.

I like just the teeny hint of bright colour from the blue bench and something dark red on the corner. The bike is just perfect.
Florence: Ellie, thank you, thank you, thank you !! smile
Me gusta mucho la perspectiva de esta fotografía. ! Un poco de claridad en el fondo wink
